Great Horned Owl, EarthQuest Birds of Prey Event, Brazos Bend State Park, Needville, TX

Yesterday Brazos Bend State Park hosted a falconry event. It featured a Harris Hawk, Turkey Vulture and this Great Horned Owl (so this photo was not taken in the WILD so to speak.) I did manage this shot while juggling a fussy toddler on my lap, though, so it was still tricky!

I enjoyed seeing the birds of prey up close. Owls truly are magnificent.
