Vermilion Flycatcher, Brazos Bend State Park, Needville, Texas

Same day as the last pic, different Vermilion Flycatcher. This is the one that keeps coming back every autumn to Elm Lake at Brazos Bend. I also spotted his lady friend. Also photographed a male Vermilion over by 40 Acre. But this little guy holds a special place in my heart. He was the first Vermilion Flycatcher I ever saw, and I was so excited about seeing him again this year. His expression – really? Still stalking me? 😉
