American Goldfinch, Longwood Gardens, Meadow Garden, Kennett Square, Pennsylvania

I have been enjoying a wintering flock of American Goldfinches that visit my feeders daily. They are just beginning to sport patches of bright yellow replacing their dull brown as they gear up for spring. I love remembering visiting Longwood Gardens in Pennsylvania this past summer, strolling through the Meadow Garden, flash after flash of yellow as American Goldfinches swooped across the path.
