It’s cloudy, cold and predicted to rain today, so I leave you with this Green Jay portrait which was taken in fairly similar weather. Oh, how I am missing the Canon 100-400mm telephoto lens I rented that weekend. The Canon 55-250mm I usually use is great but that extra reach enabled me to photograph so much more that I would have been able to otherwise (though I have the utmost appreciation for the lens I have – it was what propelled my birding obsession.)
